Synopsis

In the Vologda region of Russia, an engineer, a locomotive driver, a poet, and emigrants from Argentina share their thoughts on life and love. They discuss their visions for Russia and its future. A former soldier of the Vlasov army adds his perspective on the country's past. Through their stories, they reflect on the connections among Russian people and towns, revealing their struggles and hopes. The film runs for 85 minutes and was released in 1992.
