What is Vacuum about?

Vacuum is a documentary. María Emilia disappeared in Uruguay at the age of 22, along with her husband and their 18-month-old child, during the military dictatorship from 1973 to 1985. Her mother, María Esther, dedicated 16 years to searching for her. Eventually, she discovered her granddaughter living with a family connected to an Argentinean military officer in Buenos Aires. After learning about her origins, the granddaughter chose to remain with her adoptive family, who had taken her in as a baby.
