Synopsis
Nino, a former bricklayer, now lives alone atop a barren mountain near Palermo in an abandoned observatory he has transformed into a temple. Calling himself Isravele, he carries pebbles and concrete in his backpack, believing in the need to purify the mountain by bringing the bottom to the top. For twenty years, he has worked tirelessly, which he refers to as prayer. Recently, an influx of tourists threatens the solitude of his home, where he is known as the hermit who prophesies the Apocalypse.
