Synopsis
Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, has hosted the Bienal de São Paulo since 1957. In Untitled (34bsp), filmmaker Philipp Fleischmann uses 35mm film to engage with this architectural landmark. The film features large, site-specific cameras that transform into sculptural forms. These cameras move from floor to ceiling, creating a dialogue between the pavilion's physical space and the medium of film. Co-produced by Phileas, the work reflects on the cultural significance of the pavilion.
