Synopsis
Wallace Roney, a protégé of Miles Davis, seeks to fulfill his mentor's wish by recording "The Universe Compositions," a suite of orchestral jazz written for Davis in 1966. After the original recording plans fell through and the compositions were lost for 50 years, Roney recovers them and prepares for their debut. The project takes on added significance when Roney passes away unexpectedly in March 2020, just before the music's release. The documentary runs for 78 minutes and was released in 2020.
