Synopsis

Chung-Ming Wang stands against the backdrop of Tamsui, Taiwan, where he has dedicated himself to local environmentalism. After leaving a stable job, he focuses on resisting the developmental pressures that have affected nearby Taipei. The film follows Wang's third attempt to run for the City Council in 2014. It documents the challenges he faces and the various perspectives on progress within his community. The narrative questions the need for more buildings versus personal growth in urban spaces.
