Under Lock and Key

Synopsis

At the Wexner Center for the Arts in 1993, individuals affected by domestic violence read letters to their abusers, addressing their pain directly to the camera. These personal narratives serve as a form of therapeutic expression. Interspersed throughout the film are comments from serial killer Ted Bundy and excerpts from Jack Henry Abbott's prison memoir, In the Belly of the Beast. Under Lock and Key, released in 1994, runs for 31 minutes and employs a "talking head" confessional style to convey its message.
