Forrest J. "Forry" Ackerman opened his homes, known as Ackermansions, to fans in the 1950s. These residences housed an extensive collection of science fiction and horror memorabilia. Ackerman, a literary agent and editor, co-founded the magazine Famous Monsters of Filmland in 1958 with James Warren. The documentary details Ackerman's influence on the genre and his lasting impact on popular culture, which continued until his death in 2008.
