Synopsis
In 2003, two babies are found abandoned in a cardboard box in a village in Southern China. They are taken to an orphanage in Changsha, Hunan Province, where they are adopted by separate families. Alexandra Hauglum grows up in Fresvik, Norway, while Mia Hansen is raised in Sacramento, California. Unbeknownst to their adoptive parents, the sisters share a twin connection. The film follows their lives until they reunite at Alexandra's home in Norway when they are eight years old.
