Synopsis

Joy sells sex in the Bois de Vincennes, a park in Paris, after migrating from Nigeria. She left her home to support her family following her father's death. Although she anticipated entering the sex industry, Joy faced unexpected hardships and exploitation in France. Over time, she reinterprets her migration experience, grappling with themes of freedom and trafficking. Travel, a 64-minute film-installation from May 2016, presents her life story through a two-screen format, blending ethnofiction with documentary elements.
