Three urban Indigenous teens are transported to an imaginary land by a magical raven. There, they meet a totem pole that features characters-a raven, a frog, and a bear-that come to life. These figures become their teachers and guides. The film includes an interview with J. Bradley Hunt, a Heiltsuk artist whose work inspired the animated characters. Directed by Annie Frazier Henry, Totem Talk combines traditional Northwestern Indigenous imagery with modern computer animation in a 22-minute runtime.
