Synopsis

Hernando Toro transformed his prison cell in Barcelona into a photography studio while serving time for drug trafficking. He took thousands of portraits of fellow inmates, capturing their lives and stories behind bars. After his release, Toro's extensive collection of photographs has received little attention. The documentary looks at his work and its significance in understanding prison life and the role of art in connecting those incarcerated. Directed by Ginna Ortega, "Toro" runs for 78 minutes.
