Synopsis
Ohzan, 18, and Ramazan, 19, are among the 2,000 Kurdish refugees who fled Turkey in the 1990s and settled in a suburb of Tokyo. Alongside Memet, 38, they share their experiences of adapting to life in Japan. The film follows their daily routines, challenges, and hopes as they strive to maintain their Kurdish identity in a foreign culture. Directed by Fumiari Hyuga, Tokyo Kurds provides a detailed account of their lives in a new homeland.
