Synopsis

Michel Houellebecq reads from his 1991 essay "To Stay Alive" in a documentary that intertwines his thoughts on art and mental health with the lives of marginal artists. Directed by Erik Lieshout, Arno Hagers, and Reinier van Brummelen, the film features Iggy Pop, who passionately recites passages from the essay.
