Synopsis

In San Gregorio, Atlapulco, children create art in response to the trauma from the 2017 Puebla earthquake. "To Remove the Heart" features their artwork as they process their experiences. Through interviews and visual storytelling, the 29-minute documentary reveals how these young artists use creativity as a coping mechanism. Their expressions reflect the earthquake's impact on their lives and the surrounding community. The film was directed by Alicia Segovia Juárez.
