Synopsis

Wang, a member of the Kunming Military Arts Ensemble, witnessed the execution of her mentor, Bu Qinfu, during the Cultural Revolution. Bu was executed for her dissent, yet the state falsely reported her death as due to illness. After the government began rehabilitating victims of the Cultural Revolution, Bu's name remained unacknowledged. Over ten years, Wang conducted interviews with Bu's fellow prisoners and relatives, revealing the circumstances surrounding Bu's death and the atrocities committed during that period.
