Jason Chua, a restaurant owner and chef at Beng Who Cooks, and Gary Lau, a student social worker from Happy Children Happy Future, navigate their identities as young men labeled as Ah Bengs in Singapore. Tia Gong, meaning ‘hearsay’ in Hokkien, follows their individual paths as they seek deeper connections and reflect on the societal boundaries associated with this label. The 15-minute documentary presents their stories with a blend of intimacy and light-heartedness.
