Synopsis
New York City streets are filled with billboards and commercial messages. Activists from advertising, street art, and politics work to reclaim these public spaces. Directed by Gwenaëlle Gobé, This Space Available features 160 interviews across 11 countries. It draws on her father Marc Gobé's concept of Emotional Branding. The film presents the struggle against visual pollution and questions its impact on urban life. It argues that visual pollution may harm communities, much like noise pollution.
