This Is Cosmos

Synopsis

Anton Vidokle's film unfolds in Siberia, Crimea, and Kazakhstan, drawing on the ideas of Russian philosopher Nikolai Fedorov. Fedorov, a key figure among the Cosmo-Immortalists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, argued that death is a mistake. He believed in the indestructibility of cosmic energy and the notion that true social equality equates to immortality for all. The film presents Fedorov's vision of creating a new reality on Earth, free from hunger, disease, and inequality.
