Synopsis
Yarema Malashchuk and Roman Khimei position their bodies in the Carpathian Mountains, dressed in trekking clothes. They lie still in unnatural poses, creating staged images that challenge perceptions of identity and presence. The 2023 documentary, lasting nine minutes, invites contemplation on the figures depicted against the backdrop of this rugged terrain. Through their work, Malashchuk and Khimei engage with the relationship between the human form and the natural environment.
