The Wall

Synopsis

David Kinsella arrived in North Korea with the intention of documenting a young poet, following an invitation from the North Korean government. However, he quickly discovered that the scenes he filmed were staged, with government officials bringing in extras to create a fabricated narrative. Undeterred, Kinsella shifted his focus to capturing the country's industrial areas. He later incorporated animation to transform this footage into a unique film, revealing the constructed nature of his original project. Funded by the Norwegian Film Institute, "The Wall" runs for 74 minutes.
