Synopsis
Maurice and Katia Krafft traveled the globe to study and film volcanoes, capturing their explosive beauty and danger. The documentary features a lake of molten lava in Central Africa, an eruption in Iceland, and the aftermath of Mount Etna consuming an evacuated school. Their work, which spanned several years, ended tragically in 1991 when they died in a volcanic explosion. The film runs for 57 minutes and was released in 1987.
