Synopsis
In Keskincik, a village near the Syrian border of Turkey, Mahmut faces the difficult choice of divorcing his newly-wed wife. His sister Zeynep has just ended her engagement and seeks to escape the village's limitations. She enrolls in an open high school and finds work in a factory, defying her father's expectations. Zeynep's ambition to attend university reflects her desire for independence. As both siblings confront their personal dilemmas, they reveal the tensions within their family and community.
