Synopsis

In the village of Saleninkai, located at the confluence of the Neris and Šventoji rivers, families face the aftermath of a chemical plant accident. The nearby Jonava chemical giant led to the eviction of villagers across the river, leaving a dozen families on contaminated land. With no ferry service and a bus route 12 kilometers away, children must cross the river by boat to reach Rukla school, traveling about 3 kilometers each day. Many residents rely on casual jobs, benefits, and pensions to survive.
