Synopsis
Hajira Imeri Mihaljic visited a holding camp in Mitrovica, Kosovo, during World War II. There, she was approached by the grandmother of two-year-old Esther Levi, who asked Mihaljic to take the child and raise her. Mihaljic agreed, risking her life by disguising Esther as Roma to protect her from persecution. This documentary recounts Mihaljic's courageous actions and her recognition as the only Roma recipient of the Righteous Among the Nations title at Yad Vashem, as told by Esther Levi herself.
