Synopsis
Dimitri Poffé, a 34-year-old French traveler, undertakes an 18,000-kilometer cycling trip from Mexico City to Ushuaia after testing positive for Huntington's disease, a hereditary neurodegenerative condition. Following the loss of his father to the disease and witnessing his sister's symptoms for over a decade, Dimitri aims to raise awareness and share hope. Throughout his journey across South America, he engages with researchers and affected individuals, highlighting the importance of living life fully. "The Present," directed by Timothy Dhalleine, was released in August 2023.
