Synopsis
On January 31, 1945, the village of Palmnicken in East Prussia became the site of a mass execution, where Nazis killed approximately 3,000 prisoners from the Stutthof concentration camp. Andrei Proskuryakov's documentary centers on three individuals connected to this tragedy: Martin Bergau, a former Hitler Youth member; Gunther Nitsch, a German-American writer whose grandfather exhumed the victims; and Simcha Koplowicz, son of a massacre survivor. The film addresses the historical silence surrounding these events and seeks to reveal the truth.
