Synopsis
Nestled in the lush hills of upstate New York, the Gunks is a renowned bluff of quartzite rock. Known as the birthplace of American climbing, it features the Great Wall of China route, established by Dan Rosanstein and Ken Nichols in 1987. This horizontal climbing route stretches over 9,000 feet, surpassing famous vertical climbs like Mt. Thor and the Azeem ridge. The film captures the unique challenges climbers face, including jug rash, bugs, and dog walkers.
