Synopsis

David Ainley studies the Ross Sea, a largely untouched ecosystem in Antarctica, which he calls a "living laboratory." This region is home to diverse marine life, including whales, seals, and penguins. However, the tranquility of the Ross Sea faces threats from an international fishing fleet targeting Antarctic toothfish, marketed as Chilean sea bass. Ainley and his team work to confront commercial fishers and government entities, aiming to protect this pristine environment from the dangers of overfishing. Their efforts are critical for preserving the ocean's delicate balance.
