Synopsis
Lady Liuwa lives alone in Liuwa Plain National Park, Zambia. She is the last lioness in an area that once had many lions. Illegal trophy hunting has led to her isolation. Cameraman Herbert Brauer films her life over four years, showing her struggles for survival and desire for companionship. In May 2009, plans for the translocation of a male lion are proposed to help her. This effort aims to support wildlife conservation in the park.
