Synopsis
Alan Bishop arrives in Cairo shortly after the 2011 uprisings. He is an American-Lebanese musician and ethnomusicologist. Bishop collaborates with three young Egyptian musicians to translate his songs into Arabic. Under his guidance, their work evolves into a band called The Invisible Hands. The film documents their creative process and the cultural exchange that unfolds in this collaboration. The runtime is 97 minutes. It was directed by Marina Gioti and released in 2017.
