Synopsis
Sheikh Mohammed Sultan paints in his studio in Bangladesh. Tareque Masud spent seven years documenting Sultan's life and work, beginning in 1982. The film presents Sultan's unique artistic style and the cultural influences that inform his paintings. It includes interviews that illustrate the challenges he faces as an artist amid societal changes. Masud’s work provides perspective on Sultan's contributions to the Bangladeshi art scene and the depiction of rural life in the late 20th century.
