Synopsis
Lisbon's House of the Students of the Empire served as a base for future leaders of the Portuguese Liberation Movement, including Agostinho Neto and Amílcar Cabral. Built during the New State to control overseas students, it played a key role in the fight for independence in the Portuguese colonies. The House presents testimonies from survivors and incorporates fictional elements from Pepetela’s novel, “The Generations of Utopia.”
