Synopsis
Robert Catesby and his co-conspirators plotted to assassinate King James I during the State Opening of Parliament by detonating two and a half tons of gunpowder beneath the House of Lords. Xand Van Tulleken and Tracy Borman detail the conspirators' efforts to assemble their gang and the risks involved in smuggling the explosive material. The plan aimed to kill numerous Parliament members and initiate a coup to seize control of the country. The documentary runs for 120 minutes.
