Synopsis

Søren, an elderly general suffering from memory loss, reconnects with his anarchist son, Michael, as they explore the legacy of Søren's father, a renowned explorer among Mongol tribes. The grandfather, who died under mysterious circumstances in 1948 in Afghanistan, is rumored to have been a British agent and gunrunner. Michael takes Søren out of a nursing home to experience life, leading them through China where they encounter ancient temples and tribal chiefs, revealing the grandfather's role in uniting Mongol tribes against Soviet forces.
