Synopsis

Underpaid truck drivers in Los Angeles face a system that undervalues their labor. In Holland and Belgium, displaced farmers and villagers struggle with the consequences of globalization. Seafarers aboard mega-ships transport goods between Asia and Europe, enduring difficult working conditions. Factory workers in China receive low wages that are essential to the global economy. As collective bargaining rights diminish in the United States and remain absent in China, the film questions the role of capitalism in these challenges.
