Synopsis
Father Marco Arana, a prominent environmental advocate, faces intense opposition from the US-owned Yanacocha mine in Peru. Targeted for his activism, he is dubbed "the Devil" and subjected to threats and violence. Following the murder of a colleague and a rape threat against another, Arana and fellow activists capture a spy. They reveal a large-scale operation of surveillance and intimidation aimed at silencing dissent. The film questions the lengths to which corporations will go to protect their financial interests.
