Tea with Adonis

Synopsis

Adonis, a seventy-three-year-old man, resides in the Ashrafieh district of Beirut. He tends to his plants and hosts friends for lively dinners every other week. With a wealth of stories from the 1960s to the 1990s, he shares insights that range from academic discussions to gossip about unresolved crimes. Ameer, a younger man in his thirties, seeks to document Adonis's experiences, believing the Lebanese queer past needs better preservation. Their conversations reveal Adonis's struggle with emotional openness, contrasting with his comfort in physical nudity.
