Synopsis

Sukhumi hosts a medical institute that once participated in a 1920s experiment to create a hybrid between humans and monkeys. The intended creature did not exist, yet the facility remains home to people and primates. Current inhabitants navigate their lives within the abandoned structure. The documentary presents their stories alongside the historical context of the failed scientific effort and its ongoing effects on the local community. Directed by Alexandru Solomon, it runs for 105 minutes and was produced in France and Romania.
