Synopsis
Jonathan Caouette reflects on his childhood in Houston, Texas, where he lived with his grandparents, Adolph and Rosemary Davis. His mother, Renee LeBlanc, struggled with mental illness, having undergone electroshock therapy in her youth. The documentary combines over 20 years of Super 8 footage, photographs, and answering machine messages. Caouette navigates his complex relationship with his mother, portraying moments of both care and conflict. He also shares his experiences as a gay man, including his life in New York City with his partner, David Sanin Paz.
