Synopsis

El Paso, Texas, emerged as a focal point for the Trump administration's immigration policies, becoming a battleground for controversial measures and anti-immigrant rhetoric. The city, often referred to as the Ellis Island of the Southwest, experienced a significant influx of migrant families crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. On August 3, 2019, it was also the site of a tragic attack by a white supremacist.
