El Madani travels to Algeria, Morocco, and France to investigate the roots of Gnawa music. He attends concerts and conducts interviews with Amzigh Kateb and Aziz Maysour from the band Gnawa Diffusion. The film captures traditional customs and rituals across the Maghreb region and Mali. It runs for 80 minutes and was released in 2012. El Madani aims to connect the music to its cultural origins and significance.
