Synopsis
Amor Nagazi, a member of an amateur film club in Kairouan, Tunisia, directed his first film, SUEUR, in 1986. The 13-minute documentary captures the artisanal production of mud bricks, essential for constructing many buildings in Kairouan, including its historic city wall. SUEUR was submitted to the 34th Short Film Festival Oberhausen in 1988, where it won a second prize from the FIPRESCI International Federation of Film Critics. The award led to its acquisition for the festival's archive.
