Synopsis
Veasna, a garment worker in Cambodia, takes a risk by using her family’s land title to secure a microfinance loan for her husband’s barber shop. After investing in the business, it fails, and he abandons her for another woman. Left to confront creditors alone, Veasna's struggle reflects the growing micro-finance debt crisis affecting families across the country. "Strangled" runs for 41 minutes and premiered in 2024.
