Over 30,000 Lenin monuments were erected in the USSR, designed to be placed where he could "see" the fulfillment of his precepts.
Synopsis
In various locations across Russia, remnants of the Soviet era stand in the form of Lenin monuments. Once numbering over 30,000, these statues were placed where Vladimir Lenin could “see” the fulfillment of his ideals. Today, the film presents ten short stories that reflect on the current state of these monuments and the sentiments of those connected to the builders of communism. What do these sites, once envisioned as portals to a brighter future, represent now?
