Synopsis
Alberto stands beneath the Duomo in Milan, beginning his nighttime exploration of the city. He visits Teatro alla Scala and the basilica of S. Ambrogio. At the Brera art gallery, he sees important works including Leonardo da Vinci's Atlantic Codex. Further on, he encounters Anselm Kiefer's installation, the 'Seven Heavenly Palaces', at the Pirelli Hangar Bicocca. The narrative reflects on Milan's history as a former Roman capital and its medieval past under the Viscontis and Sforzas.
