Seven pieces of artwork created over a week offer a personal interpretation of topical news stories, including a giant billboard with the slogan "Legalise pottery."
Synopsis
A giant mobile billboard with the slogan "Legalise pottery" parks at the Tory hustings in Leicester, part of David Shrigley's week-long public art project. Over seven days, Shrigley creates seven pieces of artwork that reinterpret topical news stories with his distinct humor. In Manchester, a building banner addresses bullying with the phrase, "The bully has a brain the size of a pea." Outside the Guildhall in London, a group dons sandwich boards to comment on Tony Blair's political issues.
