Synopsis
Sergio Cortesi spent over six decades at the Specola Solare in Locarno, Switzerland, meticulously observing the sun. From 1957 to 2021, he created more than 15,000 drawings of sunspots, merging scientific inquiry with personal devotion. As a monk, Cortesi sought answers from a higher power through his work. "Sonnenstube" presents his unique perspective on solar phenomena, illustrating the connection between art and science in his extensive body of work.
