Alfonso Salido Zambrana, 59, cycles through the streets of Spain, defying the odds after his colon cancer diagnosis in September 2021. Since then, he has participated in UCI events in Coimbra and the world cycling championship in Glasgow in 2023. His children, Francisco and Verónica, share his passion for cycling, with Verónica taking up the sport to support her father. Despite chemotherapy every two weeks, Alfonso rides about 60 kilometers a day, finding strength in his love for the sport.
