Synopsis

A European man moves to Zanzibar, where he writes letters to his beloved woman. Through these letters, he reflects on his illusions and prejudices about life on the tropical island. Set against the backdrop of globalization and mass tourism, the 24-minute documentary captures the changes affecting Zanzibar and its culture. It illustrates how outside influences are reshaping the lives of its people.
